How to make your lips look younger

As we age, our lips become less defined, but by using a natural lip pencil to outline your lips you'll instantly conceal that feathering effect.  

(Remember to also fill in the rest of your lips, so you're not left with a tell-tale outline when your lipstick wears off).

I use Colour Me Beautiful's natural lip pencil, but also love the ranges available from MAC, Bobbi Brown & No 7.  The secret is to ensure it's as close as possible to your own natural lip colour, as going darker will instantly age you.

How to make your eyes look younger

As we age our eye shape may change, and many of us end up with a hooded eye shape.  If you have a hooded eye, you'll notice that your brow comes down towards your eye lid, so that your lid is partially hidden.

A hooded eye can make you look tired and older, but if you apply your eye make-up correctly it will take years off you.  Avoid putting a light coloured eyeshadow on the brow area as this will emphasise the hooded shape, instead bring your contour colour further up to 'push back' the hooded area and make your eyes look younger.

If you prefer a natural make-up look, even applying a contour shade a couple of shades darker than your skin tone will make a huge difference. The Urban Decay Naked Palettes are a great option for contouring.
